Breakthrough Ministry Newsletter | May 2023

Hi Vineyard Family!

Whew! We’re coming off the heels of so much God activity in our community… and it’s been So. Good.

Pentecost Sunday served as a reminder for so many of us that the Pentecost we read about in Scripture has serious implications for sons and daughters today!

As a result of God indwelling us, setting up His tabernacle in us, we can do the things He planned for us long ago. We can demonstrate His power, not only through signs, wonders and miracles, but through the fruit of His Spirit.

We have been empowered to produce Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control as we continue abiding with the source.

We also witnessed God do amazing things through the Hunger Walk as we “filled the hill” to help celebrate and commemorate 15 strong years of Healing Center ministry to the poor and outcast of our community. Praise the Lord!

Approximately 46 people were equipped in ministry prayer, we hosted a successful “Ascension to Pentecost Prayer Event” for our city, we’re hearing and receiving more testimonies of healing and deliverance in people’s lives, and gearing up to welcome more salvations and decisions for baptism in the not-too-distant future. What a time to be partners of Kingdom ministry!

Of all the incredible God activity we’ve experienced and continue to experience — we also felt the need to pause to reflect on Memorial Day and those who sacrificed their lives for our country’s freedom.

As you already know — freedom isn’t free! So we want to pay tribute to the fallen men and women who paid the ultimate price for our country’s liberty.

May God minister His peace, comfort and rest to all families of fallen soldiers, government employees and private citizens lost in combat and conflict for the sake of a free America! May God continue to guide you and gift you strength and solace! Amen!!

Thanks for your partnership. I pray we continue to encounter Jesus so that we may extend encounter to others. Looking forward to getting even more involved, or just want to be in the know? Well, keep scrolling to check out what we have coming at ya!

Blessings,

Clay

Ascension to Pentecost

Wow! God has done more than we could have asked or imagined during these 10 days of prayer here at VCC.

The Spirit was so present and powerful in that space, it was undeniable! We want to extend a “THANK YOU” to all who gave an hour (or many) throughout the 10 days to intercede on behalf of our community and city.

Your prayers are powerful and will not return void! Check out these photos to see how our community experienced God and heard His voice throughout their time in the Prayer Room.

Baptism Sunday is coming!!

Save the date! The next Baptisms will take place on Sunday, June 18 during both services, 9:30 & 11:30 am.

Classes will be held the weekend before on June 11 after both services at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Sign up for a baptism class here.

Baptisms are a public declaration of inner transformation. We believe Jesus commanded His disciples to be baptized and that baptism is a beautiful act of obedience that brings about a spiritual release!

If you know anyone who has been thinking about getting baptized, please feel free to share this link with them. We look forward to the next Baptism Sunday with expectancy and excitement for all that God will do in and through you!

Intercessory Prayer Update

This is a summary of our intercessory prayer meeting held on May 17, 2023.  We began the meeting with a short teaching and then sought God through listening, thanksgiving, praise and prayer.

Chuck Patterson shared 1 Cor. 1:9, “God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”  We talked about ‘fellowship’ with Jesus in prayer and growing in our prayer life as we spend time with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

As we interceded, we felt we saw and heard the following:

  • One shared that our church is not an auditorium, but a tabernacle where people come to be in God’s presence.
  • Another felt that we were praying in the presence of the Lord and that prayers were being answered.
  • Simplicity of child-like faith
  • One sensed God’s love and was encouraged to seek His embrace and to [continue] to seek and knock.
  • This [prayer] room is a win and God is pleased with the heart to pursue it.
  • One saw a tall tree swaying in the wind behind a row of rigid stationary trees.  (The tree is rooted in the ground but moving as the wind moves.)
  • Day and night, night and day let incense arise.

Would you join us in praying the above points over our church and city?

Reminder:

Our next Intercessory Prayer Meeting is Wednesday, June 14 from 7:00am-8:30am in the main building auditorium. We invite you to join us.
